Photo Write






Here are some photographs to use in a writing activity focused on description. Each student writes about a different picture, trying to describe it as accurately as possible (without using obvious key words like crocodile or sunset). After reading this description out loud, the class guesses what the picture is, and the student shows the picture to the class.

I like that activity. So instead of saying crocodile, you would say "the mass of life whose tail swished back and forth while it lumbered along in the foliage lining the green swamp" or is swamp a key word? hmm... it could be more difficult than I thought. What age group would this activity be geared towards?
